Allen Jeffcoat attends 2005 Estate Planning Workshop at Kiawah Island, SC
Allen Jeffcoat attended the Al Todd Estate Planning Workshop, a 2-day continuing legal education program sponsored by the SC Bar CLE Division, at Kiawah Island, SC on July 15-16, 2005. Mr. Jeffcoat attended presentations on ethical issues confronting estate planning and tax practitioners, the new SC Uniform Trust Code (which took effect January 1, 2006), important wealth transfer tax developments, and family limited partnerships. Mr. Jeffcoat said "This workshop, with a relatively small group of very experienced estate planners interacting with a great faculty, was very stimulating to me and will help me get ready to help clients navigate through the very important changes in trust law and federal estate taxation that we expect by the end of 2005 or early 2006."
