F. Miles Adler
F. Miles Adler received a B.A. in History from the College of Charleston in 1993. After college he joined the military, having the privilege and honor to serve as a U.S. Navy SEAL. In 2002 he graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Prior to his association with Jeffcoat Law Firm, LLC, Mr. Adler served as Chief Counsel and Operating Officer for a regional real estate development partnership. In that role he acted as both a fiduciary and principal in several key real estate and business transactions. His tenure in that organization led to a partnership formed to divest a multi-state, commercial real estate portfolio and reorganize and recapitalize the related investment partnerships. In addition to the provision of strategic legal advice, fiscal planning and management has been a large portion of his contribution to these projects. He is also regularly sought out to provide corporate finance advisory and facilitate deals both in the local and national markets.
Mr. Adler focuses his law practice on business and estate issues. He regularly represents high net worth investors in business planning and commercial transactions. Real estate is often times a major focus of these clients' investment activity and as a result Mr. Adler has developed extensive experience in the acquisition, development and finance of various types of properties. Mr. Adler is frequently called on to provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance and ethics and is engaged by partnerships to provide counsel and resolve disputes. Of particular professional interest to Mr. Adler are minority shareholder rights in closely held businesses and the fiduciary duties of managers and trustees.
